Assisi hosted a Memorial Ceremony in honour of Guido Dettoni della Grazia, who passed away on 6 March 2026. It was a special occasion that brought together family, friends, colleagues and admirers from around the world to remember and pay tribute to his life, his work and the lasting legacy he leaves behind as an artist, a friend and a human being.

Simone Menichelli and Guido Dettoni della Grazia met through the renovation of the church of Santa Maria delle Rose.
From the outset, their relationship was marked by mutual respect, admiration and friendship, founded on a shared artistic sensibility.
Simone coordinated Guido Dettoni’s Cantico delle Creature Exhibition-Experience, held at the Palazzo Monte Frumentario in Assisi, a project that brought the artist’s work into dialogue with the universal message of the Canticle of the Creatures.
On 12 September 2026, Simone moderated the memorial ceremony for Guido, guiding the various contributions and recollections of those who had gathered to pay tribute to him.
His participation reflected the enduring relationship he shared with Guido and his continued connection with the MARIA Exhibition.
