EXHIBITION RENOVATION PROJECT
2025
Twenty-five years after its inauguration, the Guido Dettoni della Grazia Exhibition of Contemporary Sacred Art in the Church of Santa Maria delle Rose in Assisi is in need of major renovation.
The sponsorship is open until March 31, 2025.

The renovation works will begin in February 2025 and will be completed in about two months.
To fund the project, the Cooperative Santa Maria delle Rose, which manages the exhibition, is seeking contributions from sponsors: individuals, families, foundations, companies and other entities.
In return for the contribution, the name of the sponsor will be visible on the plaque that will be installed in the exhibition space, in the list of sponsors on the large screen that will be installed in the exhibition, in the list of sponsors on the website https://santamariadellerose.art, and in the list of sponsors in the forthcoming book MARIA, which will tell the history of this sculpture from 1995 to 2025 by publishing images of all the installations and writings dedicated to it.
The order and size in which sponsors appear will depend on the amount of their contribution, and the number of free copies of the book they receive will be one for every one thousand euros contributed.

EXHIBITED WORKS

MARIA
ALFA-OMEGA installation
Structure containing the set of 33 statues of MARIA, carved in different woods representing cultures and traditions from all over the world, becoming her clothes.

MARIA
Enlargement, carved in Macauba marble from Brazil
at the entrance of the ALFA-OMEGA installation.

TAU
Two-meter enlargement of the original handheld sculpture TAU, carved in lime wood.

RESURRECTION
Enlargement of the sculpture RESURRECTION carved in Carrara marble.

FACE OF CHRIST
Work of art not on display, but accessible on request, that can be seen only with the hands, touching it.
This experience is restricted to one person at a time.

CROSS OF BETHLEHEM
Fiberglass enlargement of the hand-held original.
New addition to the Exhibition.
INTERVENTIONS
ALFA-OMEGA
The installation has withstood 22 years of earthquakes requiring a prompt intervention.- Structural reinforcement of the Alpha
- Restoration of the Omega base
- Restoration of the 33 wooden sculptures
- Zenith lighting of each statue and audio installation
SILENTIUM
Installation of the Silentium zone.
On the stage, behind the space reserved for the TAU, there is an area that will be used to house the Face of Christ, moving it from its current location.
In the same area there will also be the fiberglass enlargement of the Bethlehem Cross, another sacred work of art by the same author that will be added to the exhibition.
MAINTENANCE
- Plastering of the interior walls of the church
- Repair of the mechanical window motors of the facade
- Audio control booth and equipment
INFORMATION SUPPORTS
- LCD monitor for projection of exhibits and works
- Renovation of signboards
ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES IN THE EXHIBITION
Design and planning of artistic, creative and spiritual activities at the exhibition: handsmatter workshops, integrative singing workshops, dance, music, and literature performances.
